During the pandemic years (2019-2022), I did a lot of work around parent organizing and serving on the SSC at Oakland elementary schools. Most recently, I completed my Black Family Engagement Fellowship sponsored by Bay Area PLAN and J4OS Coalition. For the fellowship, I worked in collaboration with Attitudinal Healing Connection to organize a Black Equity Project to produce a 25 ft. mural at Grass Valley Elementary in Oakland.
Formerly, I was a K-12 art teacher and administrator with Charter Schools in Oakland, serving students at multiple OUSD campuses.
I graduated from UC Berkeley, with a degree in English. Later, I completed the Apparel Design and Merchandising program at Alameda College.
